Commercial & Office Relocations Australia
Advisory, asset auditing, IT cutover, change management and Day 1 readiness — consultancy-led commercial relocation.
Moving an office is one of the most disruptive events an organisation can experience. Done poorly, it costs weeks of productivity, damages client relationships, and demoralises your team. Done well — planned properly, communicated clearly, and managed with genuine project discipline — it goes almost unnoticed.
Transition Consultants are relocation logistics consultants, not removalists. We sit above the removalist layer: planning, managing, and governing your commercial relocation from the first site assessment to the final Day 1 walk-through.
What makes commercial relocation complex
The logistics of moving an office are only part of the challenge. The harder work is the coordination: IT cutover timing, staff communications, phased occupation of new floors, furniture and workpoint mapping, contractor sequencing, and the critical question of how to ensure your people walk into a fully operational environment on Day 1.
Without a relocation logistics consultant managing this coordination, most of these decisions fall to a project manager or operations director who is simultaneously trying to run the business. The result is predictable: gaps in planning, surprises on move day, and a first week at the new site characterised by disruption rather than productivity.
Our commercial relocation process
Relocation advisory
We begin with a site assessment of both your current and new locations — documenting your assets, mapping workpoints to your new floor plan, identifying IT and services requirements, and producing a relocation scope document and indicative cost plan.
Asset audit and cost planning
We conduct a systematic audit of all furniture, equipment, and IT assets — mapping each item to its destination workpoint and producing a cost plan for the full move programme.
Project management
We develop and actively manage the full project programme — contractor procurement, IT cutover scheduling, phased occupation planning, move day sequencing, and Day 1 readiness coordination.
Change management
We manage staff communications throughout the project — information sessions, packing instructions, move day briefings, and post-move support — so your people arrive prepared and confident.
Day 1 readiness
On the evening before occupation, we walk every area of the new site confirming equipment is in place, IT is connected, and every workpoint is ready. Your people arrive to a working environment.
Case studies
Our commercial relocation experience includes a 350+ workpoint move delivered Day 1 ready, a 700-staff relocation restructured in response to COVID restrictions, and a project that coordinated the relocation of seven organisations simultaneously.

A removalist transports your assets. A relocation consultant manages everything that has to happen before the removalist arrives, and everything that has to work correctly when your people arrive the next morning. For commercial relocations involving more than 50 staff, active IT infrastructure, or multiple floors, the relocation consultant is the difference between a smooth transition and a costly disruption.
